No head required with the Petzl STRIX Tactical Headlamp. The STRIX is specifically designed for tactical stealth operations, but that doesn’t mean your mundane outdoor adventures aren’t STRIX worthy. This hands-free light can be worn or mounted in multiple positions, on a helmet, on a load bearing vest, on your head, or around your neck. The major limitation with standard headlamps is the limited directional range. The STRIX has virtually unlimited range, with a double rotation system allowing for 180 degrees horizontally and 120 degrees vertically. You won’t run out of light configurations with the STRIX as it has three white brightness levels, three color modes, and three infrared modes (infrared option only available on the STRIX IR model). To avoid confusion or accidental light discharge the visible and infrared lighting is controlled by two different knobs. The STRIX is meant to be used and abused so don’t worry if you drop it, crush it, or submerge it in water, it’s highly durable and built to last.
