Horse Brand Co. and their passion for the outdoors have lead them down a long and winding trail producing bikes and all goods related to the outdoors. One of their latest incarnations is the Horse High carbon steel camping knife. Handmade in Brooklyn, N.Y. in their Horse cycles workshop, they have produced a wicked example of what a knife should be. Inspired by Scandinavian blades of the past, they use 1098 high carbon polished steel (designed to hold an edge sharper and longer), to produce a 3/32 thick blade that runs the entire length of the knife. The handle is made using a G10 (a fiberglass based laminate) that is one rugged and light SOB. To top it all off, it is also offered with or without a vegetable tanned-leather knife sheath made by the talented craftsman Will Lisak of ETWAS bags.
