Meet the feather weight Native Fitzsimmons Boot. It’s the modern hiking boot sans the ridiculous weight, and designed for urban hiking. Like all other Native footwear, the Fitzsimmons is made with 100% EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). As Native states, EVA is like a marshmallow that never melts and molds perfectly to the shape of your foot. It’s lightweight, shock absorbent, washable, waterproof, odor-resistant and animal by-product free. Yes, it’s chemically made but is BPA and phthalate free, and contains no formaldehyde or hazardous materials. To add to the comfort, the Fitzsimmons features a separate super comfy neoprene liner and lightly padded footbed that cushions. Keep in mind, even though EVA is a waterproof material, these boots aren’t 100% waterproof and are designed for warmer conditions. Don’t tromp around in minus thirty degree weather expecting these to be bomb proof. New for 2014 is a huge range of colours and patterns far diverse from what you’ll find with traditional boot designs.
