The hunt has just begun with the GS Hunter 1200. With the arrival of warmer weather it’s like we have our own little African dream land. I regress it’s not quite that warm but it sure does make us dream of long warm summer days. Ton-Up Garage located in Porto Portugal, have the luxury of enjoying warmer weather year round, and so have created a bike perfect for the hot African savannah. Starting with a BMW GS1200—not the perfect off-road beast, but an adequate starting point none the less—the fellows at Ton-Up had their work cut out for them. To fit their concept they had to build an entirely new body for the bike. The tank started out as an R80 but was modified extensively making it much longer and wider, then sculpted to fit the new frame just right. Along with the seat sub-frame mud guards, the hunter has two super distinct designs; the exhaust, made entirely of stainless steel, caps off the back and is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship, and the front houses two PIAA headlights to round out this stunning beast. With no detailed spared, the GS Hunter 1200 is one sweet ride ready for hunting down your next adventure.
