I’m game for a weekend DIY Bamboo Bike Frame project. This new kit by Bamboobee includes all the necessary parts to construct your very own bamboo bike frame. I’m less worried about the bamboo withstanding years of biking abuse, and more worried about my frame building skills, but at least I’ll carry the pride of knowing I built my own bike. I definitely won’t be doing any serious stunts with this bike, but it’s going to make for the perfect daily commuter. Ultra light, strong, and set-up with your favorite components and accessories. Bamboo is one of the most sustainable resources, it’s ridiculously strong and can be manipulated in so many ways. I feel we’re only scratching the surface in how we can utilize bamboo in bike manufacturing.
