Inspired by this history, Sportes has recreated the Ulu (in Inuktitut) utilizing current technologies alongside ancient principles, tools and knowledge. Designed as a multi-purpose cutting tool, the Sportes Ulu-002 incorporates a mix of cultural designs. With roots based in the traditional Ulu of past, this made-in-Canada tool is crafted from tempered carbon steel, and affixed to a beautiful CNC Machined Cherrywood hand-oiled handle. Sportes has proven that with a little bit of technology and a whole lot of refinement, history can be changed for the better.
