I’m not sure what annoys us more, shoes that fall apart after a year, or shoes that were designed like flashy one-hit wonders. I was on a mission this weekend to purchase new fall shoes. At my local shoe store I noticed a pair of leather shoes that made my jaw drop. When I picked up the CYDWOQ Mud Doctor Shoe, you could tell the immediate difference. The leather was of excellent quality, and the design was unique, but still classic, which wouldn’t be outdated the next day. The sole was made of a stiffer leather and could be easily repaired, a quality unheard of today. Whether it was the beautiful supple leather, or their unique design, I knew they were meant for me. At first I was a bit hesitant, the price seemed a little steep, but you know how the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The Mud Doctor is hand-made in California using 100% leather, they only use enviro-friendly materials such as biodegradable water-based glues, recycled packaging and vegetable tanned leather. Another cool feature I found out after I purchased them was that they have a metal shank in the sole for retaining their shape. These shoes just keep getting better and better! The only unanswered question is how they will stand the test of time.
