Dive into a time of iconic elegance with the Seal Chair. If you’re a fan of iconic sexy furniture of the 50’s like we are than you’ll truly appreciate the Seal chair by Kofod-Larsen. Kofod-Larsen studied as a carpenter before attending architecture school like many of his colleagues, such as Hans Wegner or Børge Mogensen. This helped develop Larsen’s talent of combining gorgeous woods with sensual leathers that makes each and every piece a gem of its time. The birth of the Seal chair came to fruition in 1956 when Swedish manufacture OPE Möbler commissioned Kofod-Larsen to design a series of Danish furniture to help reboot the sluggish Swedish furniture industry. The curved wood frame was paired with super plush black or beige leather and the Seal collection was born. Fast forward to today and the Seal chair has resurfaced once again made by Brdr. Petersens Polstermøbelfabrik in Denmark, and is as authentic as they come.
