Introducing the Yeti SB100, a XC/Trail mtb bike designed to do it all. Typically when you label a mountain bike with XC people always assume that it’s only designed to do one thing—climb hills. Well, Yeti built this bullet of a bike to transcend all annoying labels. The SB100 is built with 29” wheels and the ah inspiring new switch infinity system. It allows for an uninterrupted seat tube accommodating longer proper seat posts and a much needed water bottle mount. Spec’d out with a Fox Transfer post, Maxxis 2.3 tires and a 180mm front rotor, it is not the lightest beast out there, but still good enough for Yeti’s Pro rider Geoff Kabush to defend his BC Bike Race title on it. Available in two distinct carbon fiber builds, the 5.50lb Turq series made with the highest quality carbon fiber available, and the Carbon series an aggressively priced 5.95lb brother. However you might judge XC bikes, all I know is that the Yeti SB100 is one rig that I would be proud to call my own.
