For starters, it weights in at a measly 1 lb 9 oz. which is damn light for a full size, full protection, single wall tent that is typical for 2 wall counter parts. Made from superlight 10-denier coated fabric, MSR designed the Flylite with ample interior volume (enough space for you to spread out and not feel like you’re smothered), which in turn increases airflow and thus minimizes condensation, the downfall of many single-wall tents. Always on the go? Pitching this tent is easy and adaptable when utilizing two standard trekking poles, or if you’re desperate, wooden branches will suffice.
