As a modern lumberjack it’s incredibly hard to find clothing that has an outdoor minded spirit with the design aesthetic of a contemporary mountain man. Today that is about to change as we wake up to the launch of a new brand called Western Rise. Developed from the minds of outdoor enthusiast based out of Colorado, Western Rise is a outdoor gear company that brings timeless, versatile apparel to the backcountry campfire gatherings. Designed by outdoor people like us (mountain bikers, fly fisherman, climbers and hikers), the design takes notes from mountain culture and with a keen eye for function and detail. For starters, their selection has a nice range of tops and bottoms, and two pieces that stand out and are our favs’ is the Bitter Creek Anorak, Bodie Button Down, and Pioneer Pop-Over. The Anorak design reminds me of a clean cut snowboarding jacket that is made using a 20K waterproofing, whereas the shirt offers unique design features such as Ultra DryRise hydroobic fabric highlighted by orange details and an angular pocket.
