Paulistano Office Chair

The evolution of the office begins with the Paulistano Office Chair. As modern offices change over time, there are features that will remain the same. The Paulistano Office Chair happens to be one of those iconic chairs that you can build upon. Designed in 1985, architect Pauo Mendes da Rocha created a natural evolution of his Paulistano Armchair, a famous design that utilized a continuous piece of 17-foot-long solid steel that is welded in a single spot. Made from phosphatized carbon steel (a material that is rough to touch plus will oxidize slowly with time), the seat is made of full-grain vegi-tanned leather allowing the two to evolve naturally with time.
